CEA’s Corporate Social Responsibility

Statement from Andy Klump, CEO & Founder

As early as 2014, the CEA family has been involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and we are committed to living out our core purpose in our work as well as our communities: we believe by helping our clients and partners deploy solar and storage solutions worldwide, we are creating a better future. The CEA family is proud of our involvement in the solar and storage industry and has always been focused on creating a better future for our team members, clients and our respective communities.

Devastation in Asheville, NC

CEA Cares (2024)

CEA extends heartfelt thoughts and support to everyone impacted by the recent hurricane in Asheville, NC. To assist with recovery efforts, we have contributed $10,000 to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund. This donation aims to help meet the urgent and unmet needs of hurricane victims as they rebuild and recover. Our thoughts are with the Asheville community during this challenging time.

We encourage anyone able to join us in supporting this vital cause by contributing to the fund and bringing hope to those in need.

Solar Power in Uganda (Amigos' Work)

CEA Cares (2023)

The CEA team provided support to Amigos Internacionales in their efforts to construct a new solar-powered school in Ogul Villages, Uganda. This project is situated in a rural part of Uganda that lacks access to electricity, and is home to almost 1 million South Sudanese refugees. Thanks to our executive coach, Mike Mirau, who also serves as the Board Chair of Amigos, CEA's CSR activity this year was once again aimed at actively making the world and society a better place.

Amigos Internacionales, Inc. was founded in 1967 with a vision to provide emergency services and disaster relief across the globe. Today, their mission is to build communities by establishing churches, schools, and essential infrastructure like water wells in regions impacted by the South Sudan refugee crisis, with a commitment to foster sustainable development, spiritual growth, and community resilience.

We Care Solar

CEA Cares (2022)

CEA is supporting We Care Solar, a non-profit organization using solar electricity and energy storage to help women survive childbirth. Hundreds of thousands of health facilities globally lack reliable electricity, with health workers struggling in near-darkness, tragically resulting in delayed or cancelled procedures and lost lives. To combat this, We Care Solar has been providing Solar Suitcases to health centers in need. The Solar Suitcase is an easy-to-use solar electric system equipped with a solar panel, lithium-ion battery, high efficiency LED lights, charging ports, and fetal doppler to provide health facilities with the bare necessities to save lives.

To support this important mission, CEA’s supply chain and quality experts will be helping We Care Solar navigate the complex solar and storage supply chains, helping ensure the Solar Suitcase is equipped with the most cost-effective and reliable PV and battery equipment.

CEA has also launched a fundraiser in support of this important mission, taking place between International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day (March 8 to May 8, 2022).

Southern Cameroon (2017)

Cameroon Off Grid

CEA built a 2.6kW solar system for a hospital that hosts 2000 patients. This center was selected so that adequate care could be provided to critical patients, who previously had to be evacuated to big cities due to the lack of being connected to the grid.

CEA developed a 1 MW solar project at the Shanghai American School, which has since supplied 25% of the school's annual energy consumption with clean solar energy.

Involving students in the process of deploying solar power prepares our youth with skills to become the clean energy workforce necessary for a rapid transition to the clean energy economy. CEA supports Million Solar Stars and provides financial and project support.
