Last year was a watershed moment for clean energy, as new federal policies seek to galvanize domestic U.S. clean energy manufacturing. Fertile ground for investment dollars translates into plans for gigafactories popping up across the country.

This rapid growth of domestic manufacturing is leading to more companies vying for the best sites. Along with the big players, small and medium-sized companies may seize the opportunity created by supportive policies to build out their own facilities.
